MARCH 2025: RESETTING THE FOUNDATION

As the excitement of the CrossFit Open winds down, March brings us back to what makes CrossFit truly special - constantly varied, functional movements performed at high intensity. This month, we're taking an intentional approach to rebuild, refocus, and set ourselves up for success through the rest of 2025.

What to Expect This Month

The first two weeks of March will balance completing our Open journey while maintaining our general fitness. We'll then transition into a reset phase, focusing on foundational movements and gradually rebuilding volume. Think of it as hitting the refresh button – not starting over, but fine-tuning our engine.

Program Highlights:

  • Return to classic CrossFit benchmark workouts
  • Increased emphasis on running as spring approaches
  • Special focus on strict gymnastics and midline stability
  • Introduction of longer "chipper" style workouts

Extra Credit Opportunities We're excited to introduce structured "Extra Credit" sessions focusing on overhead position and core development. These optional 25-30 minute sessions will be available three times per week for athletes looking to put in additional work on specific skills.

Community Events Don't miss our "Leading Ladies Week" featuring classic Girl workouts, our annual St. Patrick's Day throwdown, and other community-building events throughout the month.

Programming Philosophy March's programming follows CrossFit's core principle that the needs of Olympic athletes and our grandparents differ by degree, not kind. Every workout will have appropriate scaling options while maintaining the intended stimulus. Whether you're a seasoned athlete or just starting your fitness journey, you'll find your perfect level of challenge.

Looking Ahead This month sets the foundation for our upcoming training cycles. By focusing on movement quality and progressive loading, we'll be better prepared for the strength and skill work coming in future months.
